Bought the Typhoon controller for my nephew who is a beginner just starting out. Actually got it for less than the $299, Zzounds beat the competitor's price. It is easy and simple to use and set up. Works great with Macbook and Virtual DJ is a good and simple software for a beginner starting out or even a pro. It is light and compact, perfect for a cramped DJ booth. My nephew loves it. I actually owned one myself for a few years without any problems before upgrading to the VCI400.
