About the Tama SLP G Bubinga Snare Drum
Tama's On Time with a New Snare Line the G-Bubinga. This 12-ply 10mm Bubinga shell provides an extraordinarily punchy sound with a large helping of low-end.
Tama SLP G Bubinga Snare Drum Reviews
I was looking for a great, wood, semi-dry sounding snare and I have found it with the Tama SLP G Bubinga Snare. First off, the looks of it is a thing of beauty. The black nickel hardware sets off the dark stained wood very nicely. The snare is striking to look at. Second, the sound is powerful, not overbearing and very versatile. My band plays a lot of styles from rock to blues to punk and it spoke strongly through it all. I replaced my heads with Evans Dry and snare side head, as I do with any new snare. Tuning was quite easy and with alittle Moongel, I was rocking it. This snare is quite heavy and you can tell it's made well. It's designed nicely and resembles the Starclassic series in a lot of ways. It's truly a great snare drum and I can see this being my main snare for a long time to come. It may be a tad dry for some, but after you hit it once and any reservations go out the window. This thing is a work of art! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
