About the Schecter Damien Elite 8-String Electric Guitar

The Damien Elite 8 from Schecter provides 8 strings of electric guitar growl. The striking quilted maple top on a double cutaway mahogany body is the perfect combination of strength and beauty and the bolt-on maple neck with 24-fret rosewood fingerboard offers extreme playability. The Damien Elite 8 provides a 26.5 inch scale length to accommodate the low tuning of the F# and B strings and Schecter CTM-8 fixed bridge adds the extra stability and sustain. Loaded with a pair of EMG 808 active humbuckers, the Damien Elite 8 offers all the heavy rock tones you've been craving.

Schecter Damien Elite 8-String Electric Guitar Reviews

My lead guitarist bought one of these, in crimson red, for our band to record with until I could afford my own. It's quite possibly the best guitar I've ever played. I've played a couple of 7-strings, and I couldn't stand them, something about them was just a major turn-off, and one of the ones I played was a very nice Japanese Ibanez, I just couldn't adjust. This 8-string was quite the contrary, as soon as i fretted the first note, I knew that I was alway meant to play an 8-string and this was the exact one I plan on buying in the next couple of months. I had been considering the Blackjack ATX 8, but it's hard to imagine it being very superior to the Damien Elite 8, I could be wrong, but this guitar blew my mind on every level, playability, tone/sound quality, quality of build, and most of all, the value of it for the money. If clean tones are muddy for you, all you have to do is dial back the volume knob just a tad, and it cleans right up. Clean tones sparkle, distorted tones dominate, it's like being in a dream every time I play this guitar. I left manufacturer support at 2.5 because I haven't had to deal with them, but I've never heard anything negative about Schecter.
