About the Peavey PV10 Mixer
The PV Series has long been the benchmark of performance and value in audio, and the new PV mixers live up to this legacy. With the same reference-quality microphone preamps used in Peavey RQ Series mixers -- and an astonishingly low THD (total harmonic distortion) of 0.0007% -- the PV 10 is equally useful in project studios or live/program music mixing situations.
Peavey PV10 Mixer Reviews
I needed a good mixer to both record practice sessions and also to use at gigs when the house has a sound system with no sound person. We are able to set it up at the gig with the same settings we record with and just plug it into the house system via the main outputs (bypass the house board). This greatly improved and sped up the sound check time. It works so well we don't need to do a sound check for balance or effects, just overall volume. We have three vocals, one guitar DI, two DPA instrument condenser clip on mics, one fiddle DI. We always set the 7 channels the same and the sound is great. For recording practice sessions we plug the tape outputs into a Marantz PMD660 field recorder and the sound is super clean.
