Had the new Tyler Variax for 3 days, it was dfun to play with all the various presets... but everything people complained about the Variax proved true (very sad). The slipping high-E string, the need for a fully charged proprietary battery (if it goes flat you will not have the modeled sound anymore as the modeling required battery). I really wanted to love the Variax... but for that price, as someone else said, it should come perfect. In the end I decided to returned it for something else...
