About the Fender Blacktop Stratocaster HH Electric Guitar (Rosewood)
Sleek and supercharged, the Blacktop Stratocaster HH has dual over-wound alnico humbucking pickups, with other distinctive touches including skirted black amp knobs and a synchronized tremolo bridge. Other features include an alder body, maple neck with 9.5"-radius rosewood fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, gloss polyester finish and chrome hardware.
Fender Blacktop Stratocaster HH Electric Guitar (Rosewood) Reviews
Great guitar, super value from Fender. The neck is sweet and fit and finish is A1. I've owned many US and Mexican guitars over my life and currently prefer the Mexican Fenders as it's truer to vintage Fenders than the US. The US Fenders are great but with new refinements added almost yearly they've drifted away from the feel of the fenders I remember in my youth. Now as far as this guitar even though it has humbuckers the coil split (my favorite position) does give a somewhat traditional tele sound which is cool on a strat. One drawback is the pickups, unless your a metal guy they're too hot and muddy. That said it's a keeper for me as I ordered some PAF's for it to suit my style of playing when I want the humbucker or Les Paul sound, Great choice of colors and pick guard combinations too, Even with $130 for two DiMarzio PAFs this axe still comes in as great bang for the buck,
