I have played 5150 and Mesa Boogie exclusively. When both amps died, I wanted something new. A guitar player friend of mine had an Egnater and I decided to go with the Vengeance. Although not as aggressive as the 5150, this amp rocks. The cleans are amazing, and the bite of the lead channel is hot to trot. The 2nd master switch is a must if playing metal with 2 guitar players. I play in a post hardcore as well as a Thrash / hardcore punk crossover band. Takes a while to dial in your sound, just like all expensive / high end amp heads. Great value.
