I am no recording genius. I have been producing hip hop for around 8 years and I havebuilt a somewhat respectable studio in that time, but recording vocals was something I was always afraid to explore, because if you don't come with a solid mic, you might as well not record vocals at all.Then I picked this up. I got it in the package deal with the boom stand and xlr cable. First off, the xlr cable was faulty (which was pretty easy to figure out), but once I plugged a working xlr into my mic and switched the phantom power on my mixer, the vocals came through clear as a bell. No complaints in quality. The shock mount looks great and works wonders.
