About the Behringer ACX450 Ultracoustic Acoustic Guitar Amplifier (45 Watts, 1x8")

Your instrument is everything to you. You worked hard to afford your acoustic guitar and pamper it like a lover. Understandably, when it comes to amplifying your acoustic instrument you don't want your sound to be touched -- you want an amp that is totally faithful to your instrument and your music.

Behringer ACX450 Ultracoustic Acoustic Guitar Amplifier (45 Watts, 1x8") Reviews

First of all when it arrived I was shocked at how small it was. But I soon changed my mind after plugging my '84 Martin D-12-28 with after marked LR Baggs LB12 Electronics into it. I thought how could only 45 watts be so dynamic? And believe me you won't get a double hernia lugging this pup around. I familiarized myself with the owners manual briefly and then proceeded to check out the F/X's. Not bad not bad at all. Very nice Chorus effect built in. And I really like the built in Feedback Control on the amp. But what I liked most about the amp is that each channel you can tweak it the way you want separately from guitar and vocal. I did notice that the vocal section one must bring up the volume just a notch to get it to be of equal volume with your guitar. But that is a something minor. I would say this is the answer to all cofffee house players who need to tone down in smaller venues such as that. I have a Genz-Benz Shenandoah 100 Acoustic Guitar amp and believe me 100 watts can get you into trouble very easily in small venues such as coffee houses. This is the amp to answer you problem in that area. I will still use my GB but for larger venues. Set up and ready to play with this amp was a snap. I don't see how Behringer can build such a quality product and you don't have to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay for their equipment. In conclusion here, I would say Behringer hit the 3-2 pitch with the bases loaded with two outs right out of the park. I don't think the ball has landed yet. Buy this amp and be a happy camper for a long time to come.
