If you are looking at this mic you are probably just getting started in home recording, and wondering if it's worth the $100. You don't want to spend a lot of money, but you don't want to end up with a completely useless piece of junk. I purchased this microphone about 5 years ago, for more than twice what it's selling for here - and I've never once regretted it. There are better microphones out there, but you're not going to find them at this pricepoint. There are cheaper microphones out there, but they don't come close in terms of quality. For the starting recordist, this microphone offers tremendous bang for the buck.
