I have the older halogen version of this fixture. It has no duty cycle. Projects a very stunning "falling water" effect on an opposite wall or screen. Colors change automatically or you can flip a toggle switch to lock on the current color (kind of unhandy when the light is mounted high). I have also used this in conjunction with a laser light. The combined effect was awesome!
