LEDs are taking over, but sometimes a cheap incandescent PAR setup is best. I do concert sound, and sometimes a venue requires simple supplemental light. I can place four to six of these cans at the back of a hall or outdoor area, clamped sideways on two tall speaker stands, and their narrow beams fill in a stage area nicely. In addition, incandescent lighting prevents video flicker and banding that LEDs can cause.
